Hello, I’m Jane, a sociable and easy to talk to person, (so I’ve been told). I am passionate about helping others heal and overcome their relationship(s), bereavement and life-limiting illnesses issues. Having experienced issues within these areas myself over the years has giving me an insight and understanding of what you maybe experiencing at this time, knowing you can with my support successfully come through the other side.
You can start to feel better within the first session, with many issues being resolved within a couple of sessions. As I work with focusing on solution rather than problem based therapy, change will happen quite quickly. The use of a brief assessment, (with your consent), an array of theoretical modalities, alongside using practical and effective tools, various counselling skills, for identifying and managing patterns for change within the therapy session.
While successfully working with several clients who were having issues, including sexual health and sexuality within their relationship. Seeing the positive progression of the these clients has made my work all worthwhile, knowing through journeying with them they became stronger together.
My role in helping you is to develop a greater understanding of your own thoughts, feelings and behaviours, providing techniques and using practical and effective tools for you to manage these. Identifying with you how you are experienced by your partner(s). Assisting you all in becoming more aware and taking responsibility for how you each show up within the relationship(s).
During the therapy support, you will begin to move into a way of being which is more respectful, empathetic and you will have a greater sense of appreciation for each other. While I’m ‘Helping you to discover your way Forward’.
I have experienced a vast amount of loss and bereavement starting from a very early age enabling me to relate to how you may be feeling.
My main aim is to ‘Help you to discover your way Forward’, through my therapeutic counselling role with you.
Having experienced bereavement and counselling myself encouraged me to become a Professional Counsellor. I specialise in various areas of bereavement/loss from the beginning of life during pregnancy and beyond. Grief for the loss of a pet/s or ending of a special relationship such as friendship, loss of health, loss of employment through illness or redundancy to mention a few.
I also work with clients who have a Life-Limiting Illness, supporting you and/or your relatives.
